Building Resilient Inclusive Financial Ecosystems in Uncertain Times
The COVID-19 pandemic has had an adverse impact on the economies of many countries in Africa. The lockdowns and restrictions have affected many jobs, especially among low-income workers and traders. For many, lock downs and restrictions mean a loss in livelihood with the risk of them sliding deeper into poverty and financial exclusion.
In these times of uncertainty, financial service providers, innovator, policymakers, and regulators have played an important role in ensuring that people are able to use financial services. Technology has been central in ensuring that people are able to access their money through agent models and transact safely through digital wallets.
COVID-19 is not the last pandemic that the world will face, what is important is how we ensure that people are resilient and do not fall back into exclusion in times of uncertainty.
Watch this webinar if you want to hear some of the current solutions that are being put in place to ensure that people are financially resilient to such shocks in the future.
