Fidelity Bank Ghana Wins Agency Banking Bank of the Year Award
Fidelity Bank Ghana, one of the leading Tier 1 banks in the country, was named winner at the 6th edition of the Instinct Business Finance Innovation Awards. The organisation was recognized in the category Bank of the Year in Agency Banking due to its outstanding achievements in providing access to financial services with Software Group’s cutting-edge Agency Banking platform.
Live since March 2017, the solution’s aim is to provide a better experience for both agents and customers by quickly delivering on transactions, compared to transacting from the physical branches and to expand the bank’s agent network, while offering a more efficient management of the network.
Over a 3-year period, from 2018 to 2020, agency banking drove a 300% increase in transactions and a 600% increase in transaction value for Fidelity Bank Ghana.
In addition, the bank has reported that over 80% of customer transactions, recorded in 2020, have taken place via various digital channels; an accomplishment that bears testament to the successful migration and conversion of the majority of the bank’s customers onto digital platforms.
Over 30 awards were conferred on top finance leaders and institutions at the 6th edition of the Instinct Business Finance Innovation Awards held on Friday 4th June at the Movenpick Ambassador hotel. The event which was themed “Celebrating Excellence & Innovation in the Finance Industry”, attracted key stakeholders and industry players.
Speaking at the event during his welcome address, Mr. Akin Naphtal, Instinct Wave CEO said the 6th edition of the awards was to celebrate finance institutions and experts who in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic have transformed businesses and made laudable profits.
